get to the point. apologize already.

ok, so you and a buddy are friends for a couple years.  then things go sour over time; not calling each other, not making efforts to keep in touch, blah blah blah… and you come to realize that this person was never really a good friend in the first place cause all they did was inadvertantly use you. 

you realize that they only called to let you know they got a new car.  a new motorcycle.  a new house.  that they won publishers clearing house sweepstakes.  ok, not the last one – but you catch my drift.

but they never called to go hang out.  never ask to grab some grub or just BS over coffee.  only to let you know they got the latest and greatest thing. 

so if that buddy that you havent talked to in eons out of the blue calls you “by mistake”, goes through the efforts of calling back and leaving a message saying that they called you by mistake and say sorry about calling – is that a lame attempt at reaching out and trying to revive a friendship? 

this person’s number hasnt been programmed in your phone in say – forever.  the fact that they still had yours says something right?

maybe i’m wrong.  its’ just how it looks.  maybe they didnt delete the number for whatever reason and really did accidently dial it.  *shrug*  personally i don’t care.  i’ve always been a very open and direct type of person. 

but if it is how it looks and if you want to be friends again – just apologize for being a punk and mean it.  if it means that much to me, i’ll do it.  hell, i’ve already done exactly that.  i’ve apologized, asked for forgiveness and tried to make amends.  she choose not to – but at least i know i tried.

besides, i’ll respect a direct apology way more than any indirect attempts of “reaching out”.   man up and fucking say it.  sheesh.

gambling is fun.

went to borgata this past weekend. borgata is nice as hell. and definitely geared toward the younger crowd.

so i bought into a $340 tournament. had to admit – it was a bit overwhelming. the largest tournament i’ve been in might have had 25-30 tops. this place had 350+ people.

now when i say overwhelming – i dont mean i was nervous. well, ok – a little. but it was more like a kid at a circus… i was amazed with how many people come to play poker all in a single place. i thought it was awesome to see hot chicks walking around bringing me free sodas. (well not free since u have to tip $1, but cheaper than the restaurants downstairs) i was trying to figure out how much you would have to buy in for if you’re playing $600-1200…

in the end, the novelty of it all got me. i think i busted out somewhere in the 200’s, which is pretty terrible imo. i wished i coulda lasted longer but i just wasn’t catching cards. i had a couple of good hands, but was crippled against a quality player. went out on K-J hearts with maybe 8-9 blinds left. guy at the other end of the table called my all in with pocket ladies.

it flopped out with 2 hearts but i never got the last heart or anything that could bust the ladies. i have to say, it was a great experience. am i mad that i lost the money? nah. i’m mad that i didnt play better. next time i go up there i wont be donating so much.

there was some nice weather last weekend and i finally got to play with the dinosaurs. all shot with nikon d80 and sigma 15mm f2.8 wide angle.

this is Codi.  she’s a sweet dog.

she lived with her master for 9 years.  9 YEARS.

this past saturday her owner dumped her for a new fiance’.   the new fiance’ is allergic to Codi.

um, yea…

i learned that it will be difficult to place Codi into a new and loving home because of her age and the fact that most folks want puppies.  this breaks my heart.

all i can say is i could never kick my cat/dog to the curb after having them for 9 years.  someone will have to get shots, take some pills, or something.  my cat/dog was here way before you came along…

if anyone is interested in rescuing Codi, so she can have a good home and good masters that wont easily dispose of her -  go here and let them know:
